Meghalaya Health Advancement Policy

₹1 Crore Grant under the Meghalaya Health Advancement Policy Tura Christian Hospital received a significant grant of ₹1 crore under the Meghalaya Health Advancement Policy (MHAP) to strengthen and expand its healthcare infrastructure and specialised services. The grant was formally handed over to the hospital by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, marking an important milestone in the hospital’s continuing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare in the Garo Hills region. The financial support has been utilised primarily for the development and upgradation of the hospital’s Kidney Care and Dialysis services. The initiative has enabled the hospital to expand dialysis capacity, strengthen infrastructure, upgrade equipment, and enhance the overall delivery of nephrology services. Tura Christian Hospital has been a pioneer in providing dialysis services in the region, and this support under MHAP has provided a major impetus to further strengthen renal care. The upgraded services are expected to benefit patients with chronic kidney disease by providing timely, affordable, and accessible treatment closer to home. The grant also reflects the commitment of the Government of Meghalaya towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure through collaboration with institutions serving communities across the state. Tura Christian Hospital expresses its sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, the Government of Meghalaya, and the Department of Health & Family Welfare for their valuable support and confidence in the institution. The hospital remains committed to ensuring that the facilities developed through this assistance are utilised effectively for the benefit of the people of Meghalaya, particularly the communities of the Garo Hills region.
